Gastroesophogeal reflux disease, GERD, or what is simply known to many of us as acid reflux or heartburn, is a common problem for many people. At night, propping the head of the bed up at least 2 inches will also reduce the amount of acid reflux, reducing the discomfort associated with it. Weight loss in those individuals who are overweight is also an effective acid reflux treatment.
