Alternative Acid Reflux Treatment Cures Heart Burn Quickly.

Gastroesophogeal reflux disease, GERD, or what is simply known to many of us as acid reflux or heartburn, is a common problem for many people. The cause of this painful, substernal burning is a backup of gastric acid into the esophagus. In addition to heartburn, or the burning sensation, this gastric acid can cause serious problems with the condition call Barrett’s esophagitis which can lead to esophageal cancer. At night, propping the head of the bed up at least 2 inches will also reduce the amount of acid reflux, reducing the discomfort associated with it. Weight loss in those individuals who are overweight is also an effective acid reflux treatment.
